well ive been working sorta steadily... not reall.. did some more work on my car the other day... all the speakers in the parcel shelf are now covered in the material i got from clark rubber... mind you when i was getting to the last box.. i realised that i was gonna be a bit short.. so i conned the old lady into dropping me down there to pick up.. what for it... half a friggin metre... enough to cover the speaker... and enough to blow my nose on... no not really i cut a few strips of the stuff and also covered the stepouts in the front doors... im not sure if ill leave it like that though.. the colour doesnt really match that of the doors.. but for now its looks good ... also while down the street waiting for the bus (god i hate not being alowed to drive yet! ) i had a bit of a walk around town to see if i could find a switch suitable for the twin battery system..(gots to be big enough not to fry) and there were about three different styles in ballarat... the 4x4 place on the corner of mair and doveton had one while round the corner the place across from beaurepairs or whatever it is had three (one was the same as the one at the 4x4 place) now mind you i didnt get a quote from the 4x4 place... i did get one from this other shop... they wanted like $50 for the friggin thing... id be better off to justt cut the wires by hand every time i wanted to seperate the second battery!!... so it looks like the twin battery system will be further off down the track as i really dont have the money right now... but if im lucky i may have acquired another battery.. for very cheap... but unfortunately thats only one.. as i have [glow=red,6,400]COMPLETELY[/glow] killed the original... but without a working gearbox atm i spose it dont matter... right? lol

i hooked up one of the subs last night... ;D sounds so awesome atm.. and that one half hanging outta the box on my old amp running under 400w with a battery that wont even trun my engine over... lmao... cant even begin to imagine running three of em off a reall amp with a twin battery system... ... i might justt get one of them amps atm too.. it seems like enough to run all the subs reasonably well atm... and i should have 3 12's some time within the next fortnight...

well im pleased with my efforts..lol... last night i [glow=purple,6,400]tried[/glow] to put the ports in my sub box (they go down through the parcel shelf into the box) but things didnt start to well.. with the limited space in my garage i have almost all my stuff in the back of my car... except the back seat which is still on the roof of my car... and being the fat person i am i managed to sit on one of the ports i bought [glow=red,4,500] thats one gone -$10[/glow] so i took it inside and tried to glue all the pieces back together.. but really only managed to glue my finger together lol... so abandoning that i decided to put the other one in and then justt buy another one later... bad idea... of course the holes in the parcel shelf and the sub box didnt quite line up... (out by a measely 2-3mm) and trying to squeeze the other one through only broke it [glow=red,2,300]thats the other one gone another -$10[/glow] so ive ended up wasting $20 on two three inch ports which i ended up breaking... but know at least there are two holes in the parcel shelf through to the sub box.. and i didnt even use a hole saw... just the trusty jigsaw and and a drill... so now i gotta go purchase another two ports and take the box out and widen the other hole.. then take one of the subs out and silicon the gaps... but other than that everything else is going along fairly nicely...

Glue back together?! wouldn't it crack again someday under the pressure or vibrations of the subs?
How big are ya ports? I have some spare pipe; 750 of 2" and 580 of 2.5", if ya need it...

well i decided why not... everyone else has thoze led washer drogs or whatever they're called... so i wandered in to autobarn.. and decided that seeings as tho everythings already blue id pick my self up some blue ones... well the whole pack was covered in japanese but it said blue on the front... so i buy em... but when i get home not only did i find out that they weren't blue.. but that if you want to fit them to tp... you better be able to/crazy enough to cut out some of the support like under bonnet framework... hard enough... the hole is barely big enough to fit the washer through but after about 15 min of cussing i got down to it and now as long as you dont look under the bonnet (hahaha) it looks not bad...
and although they're not blue i havent seen any in ballarat yet... they are freaky colour changing one which go from blue to red to green and so forth.. blending and flashing in a really tripped out kinda way...lol but i spose you'll just have to see them to believe it... ;D
