Hmmm... Do you know what the SPDT switch is for? It still seems a little foggy to me. I mean remove the voltmeter and SPDT switch and we are left with a basic setup with a switch breaking the circuit (eg key ignition). So to me it seems that the SPDT is the key ingredient. What ever it is hehe. I have heard various battery wiring techniques, for example: battery 1 - to battery 2 + and then battery 2 - to earth. etc... Anywayz i'll ask around a bit and see what i can come up with. Cheers for the pic.

I don't suppose we could could connect 2 batteries in various ways and test voltages with a multimeter could we? If it hits over 14.4v it would have to be changed. justt a thought anyway.

Alrighty then... the twin battery system is piss easy (99% sure)... i have it from a very reliable source (the admin/moderator of www.caraudioaustralia.com forum!) that the way to set up a multiple battery system is to simply wire the batteries together and have a circut breaker (switch) to break the circuit... mind you the switch has to be at or in excess of 100a... or if you have the money (and not the brains) you can buy a kit from some auto places(particularily 4wd places) for about $150 i think... mind you this kit is fully automated and breaks the circut when the car is turned on... mind you i dont have the cash so i will be making the lot myself with a few lengths of 8 guage wire and a hire capacity switch... so there you have it... simple ps for those in the know or who care the amp installation in zen's car was a big success (mind you i would like to do a bit more work with the carpet in the boot... but i was told im just being a perfectionist.. ;D )... im sure that if he wants he could post some pictures of the finnished job or send some to interested parties... [glow=blue,4,600]and if anyone else wants a similar sort of thing give me a pm or post it somewhere in the ice installation thread.. my work is much cheaper than anywhere around, i do a quality job, it can be done at you house or mine and if you want you can be involved in the job.. (as long as you dont try to earth and amp on a rubber grommet.. *looks in zen's direction*... but im not goingto name names...[/glow] also one last thing i got the first of three of my 12 inch subs today... and will probably be carpeting the boot this weekend... weather permitting...

Awesome! good work man. What would the switch (circuit breaker) be for? Do u mean like a 100a fuse or an actual switch? ...because there would be no need to break the circuit once it is set up, would there?
Yeah we need some pics of zen's install. I would really like to see.

nah its definately a switch... but anyways considering this is all about MY install...lol you people do know that you can make your own threads and ask questions there? buggger it ill make my own...lol
anywasy to get back to topic.. ive been doing a bit more work on my install.. and after a $40 prchase on some pretty good carpet ($20 a metre from clark rubber...not too bad) and a trip down the road to g.gay and co where i picked up some silicon and some liquid nails.. a total purchase of about $50... i have finally covereed all of the box work and new floor in the boot of my car.. and after some more (very) minor adjusttments the whole thing shpould be almmost done... the boot that is... i justt gotta cut some holes put in the subs and ports.. then bolt in the amps... but apart from that the whole thing almost looks finnshed.. did i say finnished? i meant killer... it looks grouse and the carpet is a bloody close matvh too the original color too.. but anyway with the left over carpet i wil be able to cover the boxes for the parcel shelf and then th estepouts for the six inches in the front doors...
NEXT: a bloody good security system...lol and pix very soon!!!!!!! ;D

well my install has been going along nicely... almost finished the parcelk shelf... had one hicup in that after i made the board for it all to sit on the excrement was too high... so ive done a bit of altering... and moving away for the plan(what plan?)... and have solved that problem... i also shortened the centre floor board in the boot so there a NO gaps anymore... looks like a real bang up job now... and i put the first sub into the box too... now i justt gotta cover the prcel shelf speakers in the left over carpet and the thing will really be cooking along...(huh?) and i got the digi now so there will prob be some pix taken today ass well...

Kyles gay!!! ;D ....... Sub etc is in the subaru now. Gotta re-connect up rear speakers and setup speakers in the boot aswell. Squashed tweeter in door last night (fell down as i shut door) luckily it only damaged the cover and still works perfectly fine.

Are they the Boss audio ones?
You will also need crossovers so you are probably better off buying the 4" boss splits for $80 i think.

If so, then they're well worth the money.
Hell, get two sets and put 1 in the back. ;D
